Among this list, there are handfuls of really great ensemble casts. But are any of them as stacked and star-studded as this one? Be Cool, the sequel to the 1995 hit film Get Shorty (both of which are based on novels by Elmore Leonard), finds the crime story set in a completely different world.

While Get Shorty (which can also be streamed for free on Amazon Prime Video) follows the unraveling of a crime in the film industry, Be Cool sees the gangsters turn into music moguls as Chili Palmer (John Travolta) revives a record company for his friend’s widow, Edie (Uma Thurman). The plot twists turns and spins crazily round and round like a record.
