The Terminal List Season 2 release updates, casting, and everything we know
It took way longer than we’d like to get a renewal for The Terminal List. What do we know about The Terminal List Season 2?
If you worried that the long wait for the renewal was bad news, you were not alone. Fortunately, there was just a lot going on behind the scenes. Amazon did renew The Terminal List for a second season, and now we just have to wait for it.
Of course, we’re back to silence. This is one of those shows where everyone likes to keep things quiet. What do we know about the second season? Here’s everything, with updates to come as they happen.
When will The Terminal List Season 2 come to Prime Video?
We’re not expecting this show until 2025. That’s simply based on the way the strike action affected things this summer and the fact that Chris Pratt is a busy man.
Pratt was involved in every action scene in the first season, and Jack Carr, who wrote the books the series is based on, said that this “almost killed” him. That means something new needs to be added to take the pressure off Pratt.
How many episodes will be in Season 2 of The Terminal List?
We’re looking at eight episodes again. This could depend on the budget, though. The series is one of those high-budget shows on Amazon, especially with the cast. With changes to actor and writer contracts, it could mean that Amazon looks for ways to save money. One of the easiest ways is to reduce the episode counts.
We have seen a few shows succeed with just six episodes. Could this one? That’s debatable. Eight works great for Jack Ryan and Reacher, and this is a similar style of show to those.
TV Guide says eight episodes.
Which book is The Terminal List Season 2 based on?
When a show is based on a book, there is usually the expectation that the show works in chronological order in the book storytelling. However, Reacher jumped from the first to the 11th book between the two seasons. Is that something that will happen here?
In some good news, the series isn’t going to jump around in the book storytelling. The second season is set to follow True Believer, the second book that sees James Reece accepting a presidential pardon for the events of the first book. However, there’s a catch. He’ll need to stop a global terrorist plot connected to a “shadowy former Iraqi commando.” Of course there’s a catch, right?
Who will return in The Terminal List?
There aren’t many characters left alive from the end of the first season. We know Chris Pratt will return as James Reece. There is no show without that character. Other than that, we’ll need to wait for some confirmation from Amazon.
There has been no casting news about the show, either.
The Terminal List is available to stream on Prime Video.
