When is Saltburn on Prime Video?

If you’re looking for some twisty drama to watch at Christmas, there’s some great news. Saltburn will be the perfect Prime Video release.

We knew that Saltburn would head to the Amazon streamer after a stint in theaters. That was made clear by the network and due to the fact that it’s an Amazon MGM Studios movie. The big question was when it would arrive.

Well, Amazon has set the release date. We don’t have to wait too long for it, either. This twisty romance thriller will be available to stream before Christmas.

Saltburn release date on Prime Video

The movie starring Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi will arrive on Prime Video on Friday, Dec. 22. You can still currently see it in theaters.

Deadline notes that the movie can still play in theaters while it is on Prime Video. This is something that happened with Air, which arrived on Prime Video after just 38 days in theaters. So, this short turnaround time seems to be normal for the streamer. However, it’s worth noting that Air was the first Amazon movie to go to theaters since Late Night back in 2019.

What is Saltburn about?

The movie follows Oliver, who is a scholarship student at Oxford University. Everything seems to be going wrong for him, especially when it comes to making friends. One fateful day, he ends up helping out posh boy Felix and the two hit things off and become friends.

Felix invites Oliver to his family’s estate. That’s where things start to take a turn. Just who is the mysterious family, and what will Oliver find himself in the middle of? Is it Oliver we need to worry about?

Saltburn is available to stream on Prime Video from Friday, Dec. 22.
