It’s bad news for fans of The Horror of Dolores Roach. The series is canceled after just one season, but could it be saved elsewhere?

The streaming platforms are making some disappointing decisions in the way of the SAG-AFTRA strike coming to an end. Amazon hasn’t just canceled one show but three shows. And all three boasted an inclusive cast and exciting storylines.

The Horror of Dolores Roach is one of the three cancellations. Fans will now not get to see who the person was that Dolores went to attack at the end of the first season. Well, at least, that’s the case on the Amazon streamer.

Will The Horror of Dolores Roach be saved?

Amazon has decided to cancel The Horror of Dolores Roach, With Love, and Shelter. It’s disappointing news, especially with the cliffhangers that the three shows left us with. Now eyes are on whether the series based on the one-woman play Emanada Loca could be saved elsewhere.

It doesn’t sound like the show is being shopped around based on Deadline‘s report. However, this could be simply due to a bulk of cancellations at the same time. The publication usually makes it clear if the creators are looking for another home.

It’s a lot harder to get streaming shows saved. Usually, they need to go to another streamer, and there are some stipulations in the contracts that prevent that from happening. So, it’s possible that this show won’t be able to find a new home.

The cancellation is certainly disappointing. Could we at least know who Dolores attacked? We had our theories, but there weren’t any answers. The cancellation isn’t all that surprising though when you consider the cost-cutting measures in Hollywood and the reduction of original programming on multiple streaming platforms. However, Amazon doesn’t have a lot of original programming, so keeping this would have been fun.
