When should Thanksgiving come to DVD and Blu-ray?
Every holiday has a horror movie, and this time it’s all about Thanksgiving. When can you add the movie to your DVD collection?
It’s almost time to gather around the table and share what we’re thankful for. Of course, that also means a lot of football and the Macy’s Day Parade. What if you’re more in the mood for a horror movie this time of year?
The good news is Sony Pictures has one out right now. Thanksgiving is not a movie to miss out on. It follows a serial killer who seems to be picking his victims at random. However, it turns out that he has a much bigger, far more sinister plan.
Of course, you may not want to head to the movie theaters right now. If you do, you’ll want to add the movie to your horror collection anyway. There isn’t a set release date just yet, but we can look at the studio to see when we can expect it to come to DVD and Blu-ray.
Thanksgiving DVD release date predictions
For this post, we’re looking at The Equalizer 3 and No Hard Feelings. Both are Sony movies from earlier this year, and they were on the more popular side than some of the other releases of the year.
No Hard Feelings only took around two months to go from theaters to DVD, while The Equalizer 3 took a little longer at two and a half months. Horror movies don’t tend to fare well in theaters, so we’re probably looking at something like the former for Thanksgiving.
This would put the release at around Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.
What about a digital release? This is where the two movies were a little different. It only two around a month for The Equalizer 3 to head to Digital, while No Hard Feelings took a little longer. We could be looking at a release as early as Tuesday, Dec. 12 or Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023 for Thanksgiving to come to Digital.
Thanksgiving is currently out in theaters.
