There’s another Hunger Games movie out in theaters. This one is a prequel to the series of movies that followed Katniss Everdeen. We’re heading back to District 12, but this time to see Lucy Gray Baird as she becomes the one picked to fight to the death for her district.
She’ll be mentored by an 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow. Yes, we know him as President Snow, and it’s time to find out just what led to him becoming the man that he was as President of Panem.

The first set of movies were based on books by Suzanne Collins. Those books brought the world of Panem to life, delivering us a story of one teenager finding a way to change the rules of The Hunger Games and bring hope to the people of the country.

The novel is also by Suzanne Collins, and was released back in May 2020. It quickly became a hit, and the fact that it was released during the pandemic was just a small reason behind that. We all wanted to understand a little more about how President Snow became the man that he was.
This is one of those books that keeps you entertained from start to finish. Each chapter ends with a cliffhanger that makes you need to continue the story. It’s worth reading it once you’ve seen the movie to see which parts had to be cut out and just how Collins wrote this polarizing character.
