Will It’s a Wonderful Knife come to DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s a Wonderful Knife is a horror take on It’s a Wonderful Life. While you can see it in theaters right now, will you be able to own it on DVD?

If you love horror and you love It’s a Wonderful Life, it’s time for a new take on the story. In It’s a Wonderful Knife, we see a woman wish that she didn’t exist, and she ends up finding herself in an alternate reality. In this reality, the serial killer she saved her town from is still around. Now she needs to get to the bottom of the mystery to save the town and get back to her own reality.

This movie is currently out in theaters. Usually, we would ask when the movie is likely to come to DVD and Blu-ray, but in this case it’s more of a “will it?” As a Shudder movie, there is a chance that it will only go to streaming.

Could It’s a Wonderful Knife only go to streaming?

It’s a Wonderful Knife is going to be distributed by both RLJE Films and Shudder. This puts the question of the show heading to DVD and Blu-ray into question.

If it was just a Shudder production, we’d say a DVD release is unlikely. Shudder will want it’s content to remain exclusive to its streamer. However, Shudder does have a history of allowing some content to head to DVD, such as Creepshow and A Discovery of Witches. So, it does make it hard to say, but the horror movies do tend to remain exclusive to the streamer.

It’s RLJE Films that could have a say in putting the movie on DVD and Blu-ray. If that’s the case, then we could see a release around Tuesday, Feb. 12, which would be around three months from the theatrical release. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this.
