All the Light We Cannot See is now available to stream on Netflix. Will this World War II series head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future?
There’s a new series on Netflix. All the Light We Cannot See is based on the novel of the same name by Anthony Doerr. It has an outstanding cast, focusing on a piece of history that we cannot be allowed to forget.
The story follows two characters. The first is a young girl who is in hiding after France is invaded by Nazi Germany. The second is a German boy who ends up pulled into the war on the Nazi side. We see their stories play out together throughout the book, and the series is not one to skip over.
Will For All the Light We Cannot See come to DVD?
Of course, you’ll want to be able to watch it, and you won’t necessarily want to get a Netflix subscription. That means looking at whether it will head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future.
There are the odd Netflix shows and movies that get a DVD release, but not that many. It all depends on the contracts at the time of the content development. Netflix doesn’t really like to put many of its original shows and movies on DVD and Blu-ray. This takes too many people away from the streaming platform, and we know the competition that there is out there.
Never say “never,” though. After all, some movies and shows have ended up going to DVD and Blu-ray. These usually take around a year after the release on the streamer, though. If that’s the case for All the Light We Cannot See, then we’re looking at November 2024.
For now, you’ll want to turn to the novel to read the source material.
