Neil Gaiman offers a hopeful update about Good Omens Season 3
Our eyes are on whether Good Omens Season 3 will happen or not. Amazon hasn’t confirmed it yet, but there is a positive update.
When Good Omens was first developed, it was as a mini series. Then we learned that the show was going to be renewed for a second season. That season ended with a cliffhanger that made it clear another season is necessary.
Now eyes are on whether Amazon will agree with us. It also has to be up to the BBC in the UK. Two broadcasters in different countries can make renewals difficult, so it’s not all that surprising to hear that there is a delay. There’s a delay for another reason, but Neil Gaiman has offered some hopeful news about a renewal.
Neil Gaiman says Good Omens Season 3 is likely to happen
When talking to fans on Tumblr, Gaiman shared that Amazon and the BBC are in talks for a renewal. This is a popular show, so it’s not all that surprising now tha there is set to be a renewal. However, those talks take time.
It’s not going to be with Douglas McKinnon, though. Due to SAG-AFTRA strike solidarity, McKinnon only posted a photo of the show to say that he was stepping away. He didn’t name it, but fans knew what it meant. Gaiman confirmed that the third season would happen with another co-showrunner, and that Amazon was making progress on the renewal.
David Tennant and Michael Sheen are set to return as Crowley and Aziraphale. Well, there wouldn’t be a series without them, right? We can’t have other people take over these two roles.
We’ll be sure to keep an eye on everything Good Omens Season 3 for a renewal update.
Good Omens is available to stream on Prime Video.
