Will Killers of the Flower Moon come to DVD and Blu-ray?

There’s a new movie to check out in theaters this weekend. It’s all about Leonardo DiCaprio in another movie set in the past. Killers of the Flower Moon is also another movie based on a book. You’ll want to check out Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann.

The movie follows the murders of members of the Osage Native American tribe. This is one that the FBI gets involved in, especially when they realize the murders are all over oil.

Will Killers of the Flower Moon come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Usually, we would say that a movie that heads to theaters will come to DVD and Blu-ray. Our question would be “when” it would arrive. And then we’d look at the studios to see what the plan is likely to be.

For this movie, we have to ask whether it will come to DVD or not. You see, while Paramount Pictures is behind it, so is Apple TV+. In fact, this movie is heading to Apple TV+ for streaming after its theatrical run. This could mean that it remains on streaming exclusively.

We have seen a mixture of decisions by streaming services with theatrically-released movies. Amazon recently released Air in theaters and it is coming to DVD, but we just have to look at Late Night, which didn’t get a DVD release. Apple could decide not to release this one.

If it does come to DVD, then we’re looking at six months at least. It could be longer. Apple will want to keep the movie on its own platform exclusively for as long as possible.
