When is A Haunting in Venice coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

A Haunting in Venice is the third Hercule Poirot movie starring Kenneth Branagh out in theaters. When can you add it to your DVD collection?

You already have Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile on DVD or Blu-ray. The third movie in the franchise with Kenneth Branagh as the infamous Belgian sleuth is now out in theaters.

A Haunting in Venice is loosely based on the Agatha Christie novel Hallowe’en Party. However, instead of being set in the English countryside, Poirot is in Venice, Italy enjoying his retirement. When he attends a seance, he ends up pulled into yet another murder mystery. Is this one a little more supernatural than the others?

When is A Haunting in Venice on DVD and Blu-ray?

There is some good news for those who want to add the movie to their DVD collections. It will be possible, but as the movie is only just out in theaters, there isn’t a release date just yet. This is a 20th Century Studios film, so we’ll look at others from the same studio to get an idea of when this one will come out.

We’ll use the 2023 movie The Boogeyman as the most recent example. We’ll also look at Death on a Nile from 2022 to see how long it took that one to come out.

It’s taking a little more than four months for The Boogeyman to go from theaters to DVD. Death on the Nile took less than two months. It is possible that the latter was due to the slow changes back from the pandemic release format, but we don’t expect to see this latest release take a full four months to get to DVD.

We’re potentially looking at more like three months, giving movie theaters the 90-day exclusivity window back. We could be looking at somewhere around Tuesday, Dec. 12 as a release date.
