DVD releases this week: The Little Mermaid and more

We start a new week in style with the latest DVD releases. The live action version of The Little Mermaid is just one of the releases this week.

While this Tuesday seems a little quiet in terms of the quantity of DVD releases, it’s great in terms of quality. There is something for everyone, with the biggest release being one that the whole family can watch.

Halle Bailey stars as Ariel in The Little Mermaid, a role that so many young girls have dreamed of getting. She did an outstanding job, showing us the longing of Ariel wanting to be human to be with her prince. We also got more backstory on Prince Eric, more songs for various characters, and wonderful graphics.

Slotherhouse, Fire Country, and more

If you’re in the mood for a horror comedy, this week’s DVD releases have you covered. Slotherhouse is the one you’ll want to check out. When Emily wants to be the sorority president, she decides that having a mascot will be the way to do it. That mascot is a sloth. As murders start to happen, the sloth becomes the prime suspect. Did the animal do it, or was it Emily?

What about a TV show? Fall TV is not going to be the same this year, but that doesn’t stop us from looking at rewatching some favorites from last year. Fire Country Season 1 is one of the releases happening this week, and you will not want to miss out.

How about a romance? Past Lives is something that will resonate with many. Nora and Hae Sung are childhood best friends. However, when Nora’s family moves to the United States, they think they may never see each other again. That is until 20 years later when they’re reunited in Seoul for a week. As they reminisce about the past, they wonder if there’s a chance for the two of them to be together in the future.
