Sitting in Bars with Cake synopsis

The movie follows Jane, a shy but talented baker. Her best friend Corinne suggests that she starts baking cakes and takes them to bars. Corinne wants Jane to do this for a year as a way to get Jane out of her shell. It’s all about love and support, though. This isn’t one of those movies where Corinne is secretly looking for Jane to fail at eery turn.

Jane agrees, but things take a turn for the worst. Corinne ends up facing medical issues that brings a life-altering diagnosis. Now, she could go back home to be with her parents. Jane makes it clear that isn’t an option. She will be there for Corinne every step of the way.

The two embark on a journey that involves changing plans at the last minute and finding new ways to explore their friendship. It takes that friendship to a new level, and the two are ready for it.

It’s time to take a step away from romance. It’s time to focus on platonic friendships. Everyone needs a ride-or-die best friend.
