Bottoms is just the most recent LGBTQ+ movie of 2023. It’s currently out in theaters, but will you be able to stream it on Amazon afterward?
2023 is the year of LGBTQ+ rom-com movies. Prime Video had Red, White, and Royal Blue this summer, and now we’re getting one that’s hitting theaters. It’s all about Bottoms.
The movie follows two queer best friends who want to lose their virginity before they graduate high school. They decide to set up a fight club of sorts to have the cheerleaders fighting for them. It’s just another teen sex movie, but this one is with a lot of queer love at the forefront, and we are here for the inclusion.
Is Bottoms on Prime Video?
The movie is only just out in theaters, so it’s not on a streaming platform just yet. However, we know that it will head to a streaming platform later.
This is an MGM movie, which is good news for those waiting for it to come to Prime Video. Amazon now owns MGM, and Prime Video is the first streaming home for MGM movies. It can take a good 11 to 12 months for the movies to head to the streaming platform, though.
Is Bottoms on Amazon Video?
There will be another way to watch the movie on Amazon first. You’ll be able to buy or rent the movie on Digital via Amazon Instant Video. When you buy it, the movie will be added to your Amazon Library for as long as you have your account.
When will this happen? This isn’t all that clear just yet. It could take two to three months for the Digital release. You’ll also be able to add the movie to your DVD collection later this year.
Bottoms is coming to Prime Video in the future, but watch it in theaters now.
