Most sold Amazon books last week: Red, White, and Royal Blue enters

When a book is turned into a TV show or movie, we tend to see the source material enter the list of most sold Amazon books. That was the case last week.

One thing we have become very used to is seeing source material make it to the list of most sold books on Amazon. People want to see if the movie or show is like the book, or they want to get ahead in the series if there’s a sequel or trilogy.

So, it isn’t that much of a surprise to see Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston enter the list of most sold books last week. The movie came out on Prime Video at the weekend, so of course fans wanted to read the book.

The Summer I Turned Pretty up, lots of new additions

Red, White, and Royal Blue wasn’t the only source material of an Amazon production on the list. For the last few weeks, we’ve watched The Summer I Turned Pretty drop down the list. Well, the arrival of the Season 2 finale meant that the book moved up. It is back in the Top 15.

On top of that, the third reentered the list. We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han got back into 17th place. This isn’t too surprising as fans get ahead with reading before the third season comes out.

There were plenty of new additions, too. Lisa Jewell’s new book, None of This Is True, was the highest new addition to the list. It entered in sixth place. Meanwhile, The Heaven & Earth Grocery Story by James McBride entered in 11th place and there were some new additions toward the bottom of the list.
