DVD releases happening this week: Blackberry and more
Blackberry is one of the many DVD releases happening this week. Take a look at everything that is arriving from Tuesday, Aug. 15.
There is plenty arriving on DVD and Blu-ray this week. You’ll actually be stuck for choice because there is so much, and all the releases cover different genre needs and preferences.
Blackberry is one of the biggest releases of the lot. This movie follows the rise and fall of the Canadian tech company, which saw the release of the first smartphone, paving the way for what we have today.
Hotel Transylvania, Robots, and more
If you’re looking for something for the kids, there are a couple of great options. One that we weren’t sure would head to DVD and Blu-ray since it got a straight-to-Amazon release was Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. Well, the fourth movie is heading to DVD and Blu-ray this week.
Another option for children is Monster High The Movie. This is going to be for the slightly older children than the Hotel Transylvania release.
Prefer to see what someone else thinks the world will look like in the future? Robots is the place to turn. This movie is set in 2042 where robots and AI are big deals. There shouldn’t be robot doubles of people, but Charlie and Elaine find out that their robot doubles have framed them for a crime. Now they need to track down the robots and find love in each other without getting caught by the cops.
Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer is getting a DVD release. The first season is available to buy this week. It’s only the episodes, but it’ll be worth it to get rid of your streaming subscription. Now if only all streaming shows could be released on DVD.
