When will The Lost Voyage of the Demeter come to DVD and Blu-ray?
The Last Voyage of the Demeter is one of the most recent movies to hit theaters. When can you add it to your DVD and Blu-ray collection?
If you’ve read Bram Stoker’s Dracula, you know that he came to London on the ship known as the Demeter. There is a chapter titled “The Captain’s Log,” which takes a look at that ill-fated journey. Now it’s time to see that single chapter get a movie adaptation. After all, we’ve heard the rest of Dracula’s story over and over again.
The Last Voyage of the Demeter follows the voyage from Carpathia to London. The voyage across is already treacherous enough, and now there’s a supernatural entity thrown in to make it all the worse. The crew will need to figure out how to survive this vampire on the attack. Will any of them make it out alive?
When is The Last Voyage of the Demeter on DVD and Blu-ray?
While you’ll certainly want to see this movie in theaters, you’ll also want to check it out at home. This is one to add to your supernatural horror DVD collection. The question is when that will be possible.
As the movie is only just out in theaters, there isn’t a release date. We can look at other movies from the same production studio to get an idea of how long we’ll need to wait for this one. This is a Universal Pictures movie, so we’re looking at Knock at the Cabin and Book Club: The Next Chapter to get an idea.
It took three months for Knock at the Cabin to go from theaters to DVD but only two months for Book Club: The Next Chapter to get a DVD release. That suggests we could see this supernatural horror arrive on DVD and Blu-ray any time between Tuesday, Oct. 10 and Tuesday, Nov. 14.
What about on Digital? Both movies only took about three weeks, and we could be looking at something similar here. Keep a look out toward the end of August.
The Last Voyage of the Demeter is currently out in theaters.
