If there is only one movie you’re watching this weekend, it’s going to be Red, White, and Royal Blue. Now you want to know if there will be a sequel.

Red, White, and Royal Blue is finally here. This is the LGBTQ+ rom-com that you’ve been waiting all year for, and it is not going to disappoint. Bringing gay love to the mainstream is essential in proving that love is love.

Once you get to the end, there’s no doubt that you’ll want more. Think of it like A Christmas Prince and so many other rom-coms. You’ll want to see how the lives of Alex and Henry play out as they find love and figure out how to make things work. Is there going to be a sequel, though?

Will Red, White, and Royal Blue get a sequel at Amazon?

The first thing to look at is whether there’s another book in the series. After all, the movie is based on a book. This is where we get some bad news. Casey McQuiston has not yet written a sequel, although they are open to bringing another book to the fans. This was said back in 2019 and we’ve seen nothing yet.

Maybe the hype around the book because of the Amazon movie will help McQuiston get back to writing about Alex and Henry.

The lack of a second book doesn’t mean there won’t be a sequel, though. It all depends on what the interest has been like. If enough people watch the first movie, there’s a good chance that Amazon will want a sequel. The strike action could make this difficult right now, though, as talks for a sequel won’t be able to happen. The strike is going to put a lot in limbo.
