Meg 2: The Trench is the action thriller you’ll want to watch this weekend. Just when will you be able to own it on DVD and Blu-ray?
Jason Statham is back, and along with him, the largest shark in history. Don’t worry; the base that the team is at is complete Meg-proof. That’s what one girl thinks before Meg comes straight through the glass.
Whether you’re heading to theaters to see it or not, you’ll want to check out the movie at home. That means knowing when it is coming to DVD and Blu-ray. Of course, it’s just out in theaters. This movie doesn’t have a release date just yet, which means we’ll looking at the likely time frame.
When will Meg 2: The Trench come to DVD and Blu-ray?
This is a Warner Bros. movie, so we need to look at other movies from the same studio to see when we can expect it to arrive. We’re looking at The Flash and Evil Dead Rise, which are two of the most recent Warner Bros. movies out.
It took two months for Evil Dead Rise to head to DVD, while The Flash took about two and a half months. We could see the latter for the latest action thriller as Warner Bros. seems to want to return to the 90-day exclusivity window for theaters and is slowly getting there. With that in mind, we’re looking at Tuesday, Oct. 17 or Tuesday, Oct. 24 as a DVD release date.
What about the Digital release? That is going to be earlier, right? It tends to be, even before the pandemic. We could see the Digital release in as little as a month, so we’re looking at around Tuesday, Sept. 5. This could be just to rent at first, but at least it’s an option to watch at home.
Meg 2: The Trench is currently out in theaters.
