Good Omens Season 2 is almost here, but this time we don’t have source material to work with. What can we expect for the storyline this season?

The first season of Good Omens covered the whole book by Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett. It was written as a limited series, and there didn’t seem to be any plans to continue the series. Then things changed and the show was renewed.

This second season isn’t based on published work. It’s based on what would have been had Pratchett not passed away before the book was complete. Gaiman won’t finish the book, but he has brought the story to life on screen for us. Now we just need to know what we’re getting ourselves into this weekend.

Good Omens Season 2 storyline

The story picks up after the Apocalypse threat came to an end. Crowley and Aziraphale are supposed to go back to their regular lives. They’ve managed to save humankind, and they should be able to enjoy living now. Only, that’s not going to be the case. Heaven and Hell had a different plan.

There’s a mystery on Aziraphale’s hands when the archangel Gabriel turns up on his doorstep. This Gabriel is completely naked and has no memories at all. Aziraphale needs to figure out what happened to the archangel, while Heaven and Hell are after him. Of course, Aziraphale turns to Crowley for help, who isn’t all that interested in the mystery but realizes he needs to get to the bottom of the situation.

We’re taken back through time to see more of the demon and angel’s relationship blossom. We’ll also get to see more of Heaven’s and Hell’s finest turn up. This is sure to be another fun and wild ride.
