Reacher Season 2 will premiere in December 2023

We were promised a 2023 premiere date for Reacher Season 2, and that’s what we’re getting. Here’s what we know about the release so far.

When production ended on Reacher Season 2 earlier this year, there was the expectation and a loose promise that we would see the season sometime this year. Well, that promise is being kept. Amazon has released some fall release dates, and the adaptation series is among them.

We only have a release month at this time. However, it’s enough to get us going through to the end of the year. At least we know this series isn’t going to be affected by the writers and actors strikes.

Reacher Season 2 release month on Prime Video

According to TVLine, Amazon will release Reacher Season 2 in December 2023. While there isn’t a date, we’re hoping for the start of the month. However, we did see Jack Ryan Season 3 come out just before Christmas in 2022.

This is 22 months since the first season came out. That’s not too surprising when you consider that filming didn’t start until September 2022. This was one of those shows that didn’t immediately get to work, but we’ll be getting the episodes soon. It doesn’t look like post-production is going to be caught up too much in the actors strike.

We are expecting a weekly release for the season. The first season was released in weekly installments after three episodes initially came out. This is working well for a lot of Amazon shows. Alternatively, Amazon could try the two-episodes-per-week format that worked for Carnival Row and Jack Ryan‘s final seasons.

We’ll know more closer to the time. Amazon will likely want to stretch this out. The winter is when the streamer is going to struggle more for content the longer the actors and writers strikes keep going.
