The second season picks up with Belly and her family heading back to Cousins Beach. It’s not the exciting summer vacation that it usually is, though. This time, there is the shadow of Susannah’s cancer returning. Now everyone knows, and Susannah is taking steps to fight against it even though she had initially resigned herself to dying. At least, that’s how it sounds.

Meanwhile, Belly has the standard teenage girl troubles. It’s all about her heart. She finds out that both Conrad and Jeremiah want to be with her, and she can only choose one.

There is no word at this time if the show will land a third season or not. We certainly hope to see the third book transformed. It makes sense for that to happen with how popular Jenny Han’s stories are. However, it all depends on how well the viewership for this season goes.
