Is The Horror of Dolores Roach renewed for Season 2?

The Horror of Dolores Roach is now available to stream on Prime Video. Will this be a show that gets a second season, or will it be canceled?

If there is another show that we need more of, it’s The Horror of Dolores Roach. This series, based on the Spotify podcast of the same name, follows a woman who has been released from a 16-year stint in prison. It was an unjust sentence for the crime she committed. At least, she thinks so.

The past can’t be changed, though. So, she has to just move forward with her life. Throughout the first season of the series, we watch that happen. Struggling to get a job, she’s fortunate to have a friend who offers her a place to open a masseuse parlor under his empanada place.

Of course, this is an illegal business, and some people aren’t happy about that. So, Dolores does what she needs to do. She kills. What will she do with the body? Her friend may have an option in this modern-day Sweeney Todd story.

Will The Horror of Dolores Roach Season 2 happen?

Now our eyes are on what could happen. The finale certainly left things open for a second season, and that’s what we’re here for. This is a fun story with great writing and a stellar cast. What more could we ask for?

The good news is the Spotify podcast did land a second season. It’s been on hold since then and it looks like Spotify decided not to go further with it. This could have been linked to Amazon optioning rights to turn it into a TV series, though.

Now we just need Amazon to decide that enough people have watched the show to give us a second season. That’s what we want, right?
