I’m a Virgo is just one of the big releases on Prime Video this week. Here’s a look at everything to stream from June 19 to 25.
If you’re looking for something to watch this week, Amazon has you covered. While last week was relatively quiet, this week sees multiple releases throughout the week.
Everything starts with Armageddon Time and Selma dropping on the streamer. Selma is the 2015 movie that is based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches. In a time where discrimination was still rampant, Black people struggled to register to vote and the city of Alabama became the battleground to fight for rights.
Meanwhile, Armageddon Time was released in 2022 and is a coming-of-age story. it also brings up the generational pursuit to live the American dream.
I’m a Virgo, An Unforgettable Year, and more
If you’re looking for Amazon Originals, you’ll need to wait until later in the week. That Peter Crouch Film drops on Thursday, June 22, but it’s all about two releases on Friday, June 23.
I’m a Virgo is a must-watch for the coming-of-age fans. This one as a dark comedic element to it as well as a fantasy one. A 13-foot-tall Black man has remained hidden in his home with just comic books and TV to keep him company. When he escapes, he realizes that there is a far bigger world out there and that includes his real-life superhero idol The Hero.
Another big release is a continuation of the An Unforgettable Year movies. It’s all about Spring, and this one follows Jasmine, who is just about to finish high school. That is if she can pass math, and her extra classes are going to be with Davi. It turns out she’ll learn more than just math in this class.
