Usually, we want to know when movies will head to DVD and Blu-ray. With My Fault, we need to ask whether that’s going to happen or not.

Also titled Culpa Mia after the book that it is based on, My Fault follows Noah who has to leave her hometown when her mother remarries. Her mother marries into a rich family, but that’s not what Noah wants in her life. It’s even harder when her stepbrother Nick is everything she can’t stand. The two clash, leading to an even more difficult life for this 17-year-old.

We usually want to know when movies are heading to DVD and Blu-ray. Every now and then, though, we have to ask if it will even happen. That’s the case with movies that head to streaming platforms straight away.

My Fault is a new movie heading to Prime Video tonight, Thursday, June 8. Well, it will land on Wednesday, June 7 thanks to time zones as it’s a globally released movie. This suggests that the movie won’t head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future.

Will My Fault be on DVD and Blu-ray?

It’s hard to say if this movie will come to DVD and Blu-ray, but it’s unlikely. Amazon doesn’t tend to release its movies on DVD, even those that go to theaters. Just look at the likes of Beautiful Boy and Late Night. So, we’re not expecting this movie to get a DVD release at all.

The downside of this is that if Amazon removes the movie from streaming, it’s gone for good. In the past, we never had to worry about that. However, Max has already removed content and now Disney+ is looking at doing the same. Could Prime Video follow suit?

At the same time, keeping the movie exclusive to the streaming platform is good for Amazon. It encourages people to remain subscribed if they want to be able to watch something. If the movie is on DVD, then it takes people away from the streaming platform.
