When is Kandahar coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

If you’re looking for another Gerard Butler movie, you’re in luck. Kandahar is out in theaters, but when can you own it on DVD and Blu-ray?

There is another Gerard Butler movie out. Just like Plane, it has one of the worst titles for being able to search for it. After all, you’re likely to come up with the place name and not the movie at first!

The movie follows a CIA operative who is undercover in hostile Afghanistan territory. His mission ends up exposed, and now he needs to protect himself and his translator while they get to Kandahar for the extraction point. Of course, nobody is going to make that easy to do. Who can they trust, and what will they see on their way out?

The movie is currently out in theaters. It’s only just been released, so it’s not surprising to hear that there isn’t a DVD release date. We need to look at movies from the same production studio to get an idea as to when this one could come out.

When will Kandahar come to DVD and Blu-ray?

This is a movie distributed by Open Road Films. We can look at some recent releases to get an idea as to when the Gerard Butler movie will come to DVD and Blu-ray. For this post, we’re looking at Marlowe and Sweetwater.

Both movies have taken two months to go from theaters to DVD and Blu-ray. With that in mind, we’re looking at Kandahar to come to DVD and Blu-ray around Tuesday, July 25.

What about a Digital release? That is sure to be sooner. It’s only taken about three weeks for the previous releases to head to Digital. We could see this latest release come out on Digital as early as Tuesday, June 13.
