Will Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai is the prequel series we’ve all been waiting for. Will this Gremlins prequel head to DVD and Blu-ray?

If you love Gremlins, you’ll be excited to hear that after 33 years since the second movie, there is more to the story. We’re getting a prequel story, which is going to tell us all about Gizmo’s origins. And yes, we get a young Mr. Wing, so we see just why he wasn’t ready to hand Gizmo over to someone else.

This is a series that’s on Max. We have to remember how some HBO and Max content was recently removed, so there’s no doubt that you’ll want to grab the series on DVD and Blu-ray if you can. Will that be possible? Is Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai going to get a DVD and Blu-ray release?

Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai may not go to DVD and Blu-ray

It is hard to say for certain. After all, we’ve seen streaming shows and movies that we don’t expect to head to DVD to get one of those releases. It often all depends on the studios behind the show and the contracts signed.

However, other Max content has not gone to DVD and Blu-ray in the past. We’re looking at the likes of Love Life and Gossip Girl. They are only available on the streaming platform.

Then there are shows that have gone to DVD and Blu-ray. The Flight Attendant got a DVD release rather quickly. Again, it all depends on the contracts signed when Max picked up the show. This does support the idea of the Gremlins prequel getting a DVD release in the future.

This show isn’t going anywhere just yet, though. Not only do we have 10 episodes coming out over the course of the next couple of months, but we also have a second season confirmed.
