There’s another change to the Top 5 on the list of most sold Amazon books of the week. Here’s a full look at the list commencing May 7, 2023.

A new week is here, and that means the list of most sold Amazon books has changed again. This week saw a big change to the Top 5, with two new additions joining the list.

The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese was the highest new addition, taking over the top spot on the list. That saw Happy Place by Emily Henry fall into second place, with Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus dropping into third place for the first week in a long time!

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave also dropped a spot, while The 23rd Midnight by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro entered in fifth place to round out the Top 5.

The Housemaid up, The Hunger Games prequel down

There was a lot of movement elsewhere on the list. The Housemaid by Freida McFadden jumped up two spots on the list, while Simply Lies by David Baldacci dropped down two spots. Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano remained the same.

There were some notable drops on the list. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins, which had reentered the list just the previous week lost eight spots last week. It is back out of the Top 10, but we’re sure to see it back up come November when The Hunger Games prequel movie is out in theaters.

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume dropped 10 spots to just hold onto a Top 15 spot.
