The Blackberry movie is now out in theaters to watch. The big question for many is when this movie based on a true story is coming to DVD and Blu-ray.

You have heard of Blackberry. There is no doubt about it. Before Apple brought out the iPhone and Google brought out the Android system for the likes of Samsung and Huawei to develop smartphones, Blackberry brought out its high-tech phone. This was a phone that also brought out the Qwerty keyboard to devices so there was no need to click the No. 2 three times when you wanted the letter C!

The Canadian company seemed to just come out of nowhere. And then suddenly it disappeared. How much do you know about the rise and fall of the tech company? Probably very little, unless you kept an ear to the ground of all things smartphones back in the day. It’s time to find out the truth in the latest biopic.

The movie is out in theaters. It’s based on the book Losing the Signal: The Untold Story Behind the Extraordinary Rise and Spectacular Fall of BlackBerry by Jacquie McNish and Sean Silcoff, and it is a must-watch for those who love to understand how terrible business decisions can go.

Blackberry movie DVD release date

There is a lot out this weekend, though. You’ll want to see Book Club: The Next Chapter and you may still be waiting to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 from last weekend. That means waiting for a few movies to hit DVD and Blu-ray.

Blackberry is an IFC movie. This makes it a little harder to predict the release date on DVD and Blu-ray. The production studio isn’t the most consistent with releases. Elevation Productions is distributing it, but again, it isn’t the most consistent. We’re looking at a release within the next three months, but we could see it much sooner with the way a lot of other studios are working their releases.
