Them Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in May 2023
All eyes are on the horror anthology series Them Season 2. Officially titled Them: The Scare, when will we see the episodes drop on Prime Video?
Amazon has been extremely quiet when it comes to Them Season 2. We didn’t even know when the horror anthology series was filming for the longest time, and then suddenly we learned some casting news.
If you’re ready to see the next story, you’ll be disappointed by the latest news. This is not a series on the list of Amazon releases in May 2023. Yes, it’s been two years since the first season dropped, but we need to wait just a little bit longer.
When will Them Season 2 come to Prime Video?
We will likely get Them: The Scare sometime in 2023. According to Midgard Times, production on the second season has finally come to an end. It wasn’t until August that filming even started on the series! That’s more than a year since the first season dropped—and we know the show was picked up for two seasons from the very beginning so it’s not like anyone was waiting for renewal confirmation.
Filming wrapped back in December 2022. Little Marvin, who is one of the creators of the series and directed Episode 7 of this upcoming season, shared the update on Instagram. There are seven episodes to this season, which is set in 1991 LA.
Only Deborah Ayorinde will return from the first season. That’s not too surprising when you consider this is an anthology series. Think of it like American Horror Story where cast members can come and go as they please and take on other roles. Joining Ayorinde are Pam Grier and Luke James as lead characters. Joshua J. Williams and Jeremy Bobb will also be series regulars with Wayne Knight, Carlito Olivero, Charles Brice and Iman Shumpert in recurring roles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Fall 2023 seems like a good time to release a horror series, but it’s all going to depend on scheduling out the content Amazon currently has ready.
Them: The Scare is coming to Prime Video at some point in 2023.
