Upload Season 3 is not coming to Prime Video in May 2023

May is a very special month for Upload fans, but May 2023 doesn’t bring us the news we wanted. Sadly, Upload Season 3 isn’t ready for us just yet.

In May 2020, we got to see the first season of Upload. It didn’t take long for a renewal to come, through. Due to the pandemic, it did take a while for us to get that second season. The second season arrived in March and it was in May 2022 that we found out there would be a third season. That was a nerve-wracking wait for the renewal news.

Now we just wait for that third season. Sadly, Upload Season 3 is not on the list of May releases on Prime Video. It’s not that we really expected that with there being so little news about the show, but it didn’t stop us from double-checking just in case.

When will Upload Season 3 come to Prime Video?

Amazon isn’t being all that upfront about its release schedule. We tend not to get a release date confirmation until a month or two before the date is set. So, there is a chance that we could see it sometime this summer, but Amazon isn’t telling us.

If we’re completely honest, we’re probably looking at the fall of 2023 instead. This is based on how long post-production for a series like this can take. It took 11 months from wrapping production on Season 2 and getting the finished product on Prime Video. Filming for Season 3 wrapped in November 2022, so October 2023 is more likely as a release date.

Some of this is going to depend on the writer’s strike, though, which hasn’t yet been confirmed at the time of writing this. The writer’s strike could see post-production work halted as unions stand in support of each other. That would push the release date for a lot of shows back. It’s just not clear how things are working just yet.
