Reacher Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in May 2023

As much as we would love to jump into the next Reacher story, that’s not happening yet. Reacher Season 2 is not on the list of Prime Video releases in May 2023.

That’s right; we would love to have seen it on the list, but it wasn’t there. It’s not that we suspected Reacher Season 2 would premiere in May 2023, but it didn’t stop us from double-checking the list of releases just in case.

The wait for the season continues. There aren’t a lot of big releases happening in May, but that’s likely because there are new episodes of The Power, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Citadel to air. Reacher covers some of the same audience as Citadel, so Amazon wouldn’t want to bring out the two shows at the same time.

When will Reacher Season 2 come to Prime Video?

As of right now, Amazon is being very quiet about the second season. We know filming only started back in September last year. Production then wrapped in February 2023. So, the series is in post-production, which can take some time. In fact, we’re used to post-production for a series like this taking at least six months.

That suggests an August release date at the earliest. We could have to wait until a little closer to the end of the year. It’s all going to depend on scheduling.

We are expecting Jack Ryan Season 4 sometime this year. Amazon won’t want to bring out Jack Ryan and Reacher at the same time since they hit the same audiences. It will depend on which show is ready first as to which one is released first.

Head of Television at Amazon Studios, Vernon Sanders, did share that Reacher Season 2 will be out in 2023, according to Collider, but that’s the only thing we’ve heard.
