Right now, the only place to stream the movie is on Netflix. The big question for many is whether this is a release that can be added to your DVD collection to join the rest of the series, including the original movies.
The Power Rangers reunion movie may not come to DVD
There is some bad news. Usually, we look at when a DVD release will happen, but when it comes to the Power Rangers reunion movie, there is a chance that it won’t arrive on DVD and Blu-ray at all.
This is a Netflix Original Movie. Just like with Amazon, Netflix doesn’t tend to release its content on DVD. There are a few exceptions to the norm, but Netflix wants to keep as many people subscribing to the platform as possible. The best way to do that is to keep content exclusive to the platform.
With how big this movie is expected to be for the original fanbase, Netflix may want to keep it exclusive. If it does end up going to DVD, we’re looking at that happening sometime next year. There’s no way Netflix will want to release it too soon. The streamer has to get as much money out of it as possible through subscribers.
