Guy Ritchie has another movie coming out that fans will want to check out. The Covenant is now in theaters, but when will it come to DVD and Blu-ray?

The weekend of April 21 is a big one for theaters. There are some great new releases out, with Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant being one of the biggest.

Jake Gyllenhaal stars as John Kinley, a U.S. Army Sergeant who recruits an interpret during the War in Afghanistan. Ahmed ends up putting his own life on the line after the Taliban kills his son, and that includes saving the lives of Kinley and others. When Kinley gets back to the U.S., he learns that Ahmed is on the run from the Taliban still. Despite the U.S. authorities refusing to help, Kinley heads back to Afghanistan to repay his debt.

This is certainly a movie you’ll want to add to your collection if you love the likes of Lone Survivor and American Sniper. The question is when.

The Covenant DVD release date predictions

As of right now, the movie doesn’t have a DVD release date. That’s not surprising with it only just out in theaters today. It’s going to take some time.

We can look at MGM movies as that’s the production studio for this one. For this prediction, we’re looking at Dog and Women Talking. The former took almost three months to get to DVD, while the latter took about six weeks.

We’re probably looking at something along the lines of Dog for this release. That would suggest an almost three-month wait, so we’re looking at around Tuesday, July 18 for The Covenant to come to DVD and Blu-ray.

What about a Digital release? It took about two months for the Channing Tatum movie, so we’re looking at around Tuesday, June 20 for this one.
