Everything streaming on Prime Video this week: Dead Ringers and more

Dead Ringers is the biggest release on Prime Video this week. What else can you stream throughout the week starting April 17, 2023?

You know the Dead Ringers movie starring Jeremy Irons. Well, now it’s time to see a genderswap reboot of the movie starring Rachel Weisz. Like in the movie, Weisz will take on two roles (instead of the creators finding a set of identical twins to do the series), and this show will take a few dark turns.

Weisz is both Elliot and Beverly Mantel. They are alike in every single way, including the jobs that they do. They are both gynecologists, and they have a special interest in infertile women. This has led to the two of them carrying out ethically immoral procedures and experiments on infertile women in the hope of “fixing the problem.”

Judy Blume Forever, Demon Warriors, and more

Before the new Amazon series drops, there is a bunch of slightly older movies dropping on Prime Video. Demon Warriors is one of them on Wednesday, April 19. It follows an underground fraternity known as The Opapatikas, people who have been resurrected after death and given special powers. They cannot be killed, and a detective wants that power in an attempt to take down a demon known as Sadok.

Another Amazon Original to wait for is Judy Blume Forever. The movie follows the trailblazing author, looking at the way she changed the lives of adolescent readers. Her books offered a chance to understand sexuality, themselves, and growing up in a way that no other author had been able to offer, and this series takes a look at Blume’s achievements and work.

Of course, there is a new episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to check out too. This takes us to almost the halfway point.
