Reacher Season 2 is not coming to Prime Video in April 2023

We would love to see Jack Reacher back in action, but that’s not happening just yet. Reacher Season 2 is not on the list of April releases.

The great news about Reacher Season 2 came just days after the series premiere. The viewership was so great that Amazon immediately renewed it. That should have meant work could start right away on it, but it took some time for filming to begin.

That’s led to a bit of a longer wait than we’d like for the second season. Reacher Season 2 is not on the list of Amazon releases in April 2023. That’s not surprising when you consider another big series has episodes arriving this month (and next). Amazon will want to space out its content.

When will Reacher Season 2 premiere on Prime Video?

We’re not expecting the episodes until much later this year. Production wrapped back in February, so now the show is in the post-production stage. While post won’t take as long as it would for the likes of Carnival Row and The Boys, it can still take around six months at least. That puts us at August as the earliest release month likely.

However, there is another big action show potentially to arrive this year: Jack Ryan. Amazon will want to space out these shows, and it’s possible that the final season of Jack Ryan will be ready for the summer. That could push the release of Reacher‘s second season to fall 2023.

These long waits are starting to become normal for streaming shows, although we really don’t like them. The wait shouldn’t cause too many issues for the viewership as this series already has a loyal following due to the books. We’ll also likely see Amazon opt for the weekly release format again to help keep people tuned in for as long as possible.
