Will Air come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Air is currently out in theaters, and it’s not a movie to miss if you love Michael Jordan’s career. Will you be able to own the movie on DVD and Blu-ray?

You’ve seen Michael Jordan’s career from the outside, but what about things that happened behind the scenes? What about when it came to the negotiations to get him to become the face of Nike? That’s the story that Air tells.

Matt Damon plays Sonny Vaccaro, a shoe salesman who realizes that Michael Jordan is the perfect face for Nike. He and Nike decide to pursue this rookie basketball player, creating a partnership that nobody had ever considered before. It would revitalize everything about partnerships and marketing.

While it is out in theaters right now, there is a lot to watch. You may not be able to head out to see it all, so you want to be able to watch the movie at home. Will you be able to buy Air on DVD and Blu-ray?

Is Air coming to DVD and Blu-ray?

There is some bad news. It’s unlikely that the movie will come to DVD and Blu-ray. That’s purely because it’s an Amazon Studios movie. This is actually the first time since Late Night that an Amazon movie has gone to theaters, although the pandemic is certainly to blame for some of that.

The good news is that as it’s an Amazon movie, it’s going to be easy to watch at home. The movie will head to Prime Video shortly after the theatrical run. We’re looking at sometime in the summer at this point, although Amazon hasn’t given a set date just yet.

This doesn’t mean it won’t come to DVD and Blu-ray. It’s just rare that this happens. It’s only movies like Cold War that have gone to DVD. Late Night, Life Itself, Beautiful Boy, and more are only available on streaming.

Air is currently out in theaters and will head to Prime Video.
