The Super Mario Bros. Movie DVD release date predictions
There isn’t a set release date just yet. That’s not too surprising when you consider the movie is only just out in theaters. So, we need to look at movies from the same distribution studio to get an idea as to when we can expect it.
This is a Universal Pictures movie. For the sake of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, we’re looking at Knock at the Cabin and Minions: The Rise of Gru. This covers a recent release and something that was aimed at children.
It only took two months for The Rise of Gru to hit DVD, while it is taking three months for Knock at the Cabin. It looks like Universal Pictures is looking to bring back the 90-day exclusivity window for theaters, and we could see that with this latest release as it’s expected to be a big one financially for families. With that in mind, we could be looking at around Tuesday, July 4 for the movie to head to DVD and Blu-ray.
What about on Digital? It took a month for the Minions sequel but only three weeks for the horror. We’re likely looking at something similar as these movies are going to Peacock quickly after the theatrical releases. The Digital releases tend to time with the Peacock release.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is currently out in theaters.
