The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 is officially the last, and there is a lot to look forward to. Take a look at the promo, synopsis, and more.

The time has come to see Midge Maisel gain her dreams. At least, that’s how we’re expecting to see the final season to end. Of course, it won’t be an easy road, but there are nine episodes to deliver the feel-good ending that this dramedy needs.

For four seasons so far, we’ve watched Midge realize her passion, find success, see failure, and figure out her romantic life at the same time. That romantic life has been pushed to one side as she chooses her career—and as one ex-wife to another, I don’t blame her!

Amazon has set the date. The first episode of the final season will air on Friday, April 14. In fact, the first three episodes of the final season will drop on this date.

After that, we’ll get weekly installments for six weeks. The finale will air on Friday, May 26.

Of course, Rachel Brosnahan is back as Midge Maisel. We’ll also see Alex Borstein back as her manager Susie. Other returning cast members are:

Alfie Fuller, Jason Ralph, and Reid Scott are upped to series regulars for the final season.

The only cast member not confirmed in any way is Luke Kirby, who plays Lenny Bruce. There are ways to write Lenny Bruce out of the series off-camera, and if the show follows real life, there will be a lot of tears.

Amazon has finally released the trailer for the season. It gives us a look at where Midge is now. She’s still at the burlesque club for the time being, but she has a big dream. She wants to make it to TV, and she will do everything she can to get there. At least, eventually she will.

Meanwhile, Abe and Rose seem to be running into some bad luck. This is surely linked to Rose deciding that she will continue her job as a matchmaker despite the threats against her. We’ll also see more of Joel as he continues with his club and figures out what to do now that his girlfriend is pregnant.
