What is Swarm on Prime Video about?
Swarm is one of the new shows arriving on Prime Video this week. Is it something to check out? Here’s all you need to know about Swarm.
Are you looking for something new to watch on Prime Video? There is a lot of new content arriving, with plenty of new Amazon Original Shows to check out. You’ll want to know what each one is about to see if it’s something for you.
Just how far would you go to follow your favorite artists? That’s something Swarm looks at. Dominque Fishback plays Dre, a woman who is obsessed with her favorite R&B artist.
While a lot of people will buy tickets to concerts and get every album, there are some who take their love too far. They become obsessed, and it puts a lot of artists in dangerous situations. Just look at the deaths that have happened because of obsessed fans.
What is Swarm about?
Just how far does your love for an artist take you? For Dre, she’s willing to cross lines (and not just State ones) to see her favorite artist in action. That may or may not include having a dead body in her trunk.
The promo makes it very clear that this series is dark. It’s not for the faint hearted, and you’re about to see why Dominque Fishback is such an underrated actress.
The series is focused on Beyonce, by the looks of things. After all, there are mentions of Queen Bee and the swarm, although the name of the artist in the series has been changed. The promo even has a Solange joke in it. This shouldn’t be surprising considering the obsession with Beyonce.
Check out the official synopsis for Amazon:
"From Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, Swarm follows Dre (Dominique Fishback), a young woman whose obsession with a pop star takes a dark turn."
Swarm is available to stream on Prime Video on Friday, March 17.
