If you feel like you’re watching a real documentary about a band, that’s because of the way the Prime Video series has developed the story based on the book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It’s all written as a band finally coming forward to share the true story behind everything that happened in the growth and the split of the band.

We’ve seen how The Six got started and how Karen joined. We’ve also seen how Daisy got started and came in to help The Six get resigned. The next part is how Daisy found herself as the frontwoman of the band.

The big question for many people is whether this is a true story. Is there really a band called Daisy Jones and the Six?

There isn’t a real band out there, but you’ll be forgiven for feeling like there is. This is a very stereotypical story of rock bands from the 1970s. There are similarities to stories of other bands.

There’s also going to be an album from the series released to everyone. This is with the name of the band as the performers. While the band is fictional, the actors did head into the recording studio. They all learned their instruments and they do really sing. The songs were created specifically for the series.

You can now buy the vinyl or the MP3 release on Amazon. The album is called “Aurora” and features the original songs from the series. Don’t expect a tour or a second album, though. This was all done for the sake of the series.
