Carnival Row Season 2, Episode 5: Are [Spoilers] really dead?
Carnival Row has hit the halfway mark of Season 2. It’s picked up the pace and certainly brought a change we didn’t expect just yet.
Caution: There are spoilers for Carnival Row Season 2, Episode 5 in this post.
We expected big things to happen in the final season of Carnival Row. There was no way everyone would make it out alive, but we didn’t expect any big deaths to happen just at. At least, not two big deaths in one episode.
Yet, the halfway mark is here, and the show has to pick up the pace. That has certainly happened, and now there are questions about what’s to come considering a complete change of power. But is there a complete change of power? Is there a chance those deaths could be reversed?
Are Sophie and Jonah really dead on Carnival Row?
There is no way either of these characters will come back after their endings in Episode 5 of the final season. There is a complete change in power for both parties of the government, and that could mean a lot of problems for both human and fae.
Sophie was executed for treason. She was the first of the three prisoners to head to the guillotine, and there is no way she could have survived that.
Jonah was attacked by the creature that has been killing both human and fae. This creature freed Vignette. When you start looking at who the creature is attacking, they have all been connected to Vignette in some sort of way. The human was the guy on the train Vignette wanted to save, while Dahlia and Bolero were at the top of the Black Raven, causing a threat to Vignette.
Is this creature some sort of manifestation of Vignette? If so, why is Tourmaline one of the victims? That’s for another post, though. Right now, we just know that Sophie and Jonah are definitely dead and the power is shifting considerably.
