Based on the novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, this is one of those highly anticipated releases of the year. Before you jump into the new series, you’ll want to know a bit about it. Just what is the series about?
Daisy Jones and the Six synopsis
The miniseries is set to follow the story from the book. It’s all about the titular band, a rock group from the 1970s that broke up suddenly. They were at the height of the LA music scene, becoming one of the world’s most legendary bands, but nobody understood why they broke up when they were at the height of their success.
We see the band years later as they figure out what happened back in the day. It’s time for them to tell the full story.
The book itself was inspired by Reid’s experience growing up with Fleetwood Mac. However, the story itself is a fictional one about a band that doesn’t really exist. It does focus on the erratic world of 1970s rock. It didn’t take long from the book’s release for it to be optioned for the series, and now we’re enjoying the story on the screen.
