Will Vignette become the leader of the Black Ravens in Carnival Row?

Carnival Row Season 2 Episodes 1 and 2 brought us some major deaths. One of those deaths throws the Black Ravens into unknown territory.

Carnival Row wasted no time to bring us the start of the revolution. Vignette wanted to show the humans what had happened to the fae, although it was in an attempt to save Philo as well as to save her people. In the end, Dahlia decided that she was going to run the mission.

As the leader, that made sense. Plus, Dahlia does want the same thing as Vignette: Freedom. She just doesn’t want to admit that (or admit that Vignette has some good plans and leadership skills). Sadly for Dahlia, it ended with her execution.

That means the Black Ravens are without a leader. Isn’t there one faerie who could take over that role? Dahlia even seemed to suggest it in the second episode.

Will the Black Raven follow Vignette in Carnival Row?

During the premiere episode, Kaine made it clear that the Black Ravens had been impressed with Vignette’s willingness to help save the people of The Row. He was the one who suggested she be branded and officially join the group. It wasn’t really something Vignette was after, especially as Dahlia had made it clear she didn’t like Vignette, but she did it anyway.

Vignette is clearly one for the people. She just wants what is best for them, and she is willing to put her own life on the line to lead the missions to get medicine. She was even willing to put her life on the line to show the humans what was becoming of the faeries in The Row. Dahlia felt threatened by that and decided to do the mission herself, making it clear that there would be a fight for the leadership position.

It looks like there won’t be, though. Vignette already has the ear of many of the Black Raven. Will this help her gain the top spot in Carnival Row Season 2?
