Is Ezra Spurnrose back in Carnival Row Season 2?

Carnival Row Season 2 has begun. Which characters are back in the story? Will we see more of Ezra Spurnrose during the new season?

Andrew Gower’s Ezra Spurnrose is one of those Carnival Row characters we just love to hate. He’s insufferable, and all he cares about is getting the money back from his failed investments and business ventures. Of course, now he also wants revenge.

At the end of the first season, Ezra was (privately, we’ll add) humiliated when Agreus hit him and fled with Imogen. The two got away just before the ports closed, and Ezra made it clear that he wanted revenge for that. Will he show up in the second season to get that revenge?

Ezra Spurnrose is in Carnival Row Season 2

We got to see Ezra right away in the second season. He was in the crowd as the fauns were being (unfairly and illegally) executed. He didn’t care that there was a chance these fauns were innocent of the charges held before them. That’s not surprising when you consider what history was like when it came to prisoners. Nobody really cared if the people being executed were guilty or innocent.

We also see him as a figment of Imogen’s imagination. She’s worried that her brother will find her and Agreus, which is why she doesn’t want to make port.

We’re sure to see Ezra’s storyline continue to play out. After all, there are images that show Ezra with Imogen and Agreus. It doesn’t look like this is part of Imogen’s imagination. Instead, it looks like he finds his sister, but things may not go the way he hopes.
