Carnival Row Season 2 age rating: Is the series suitable for kids?
Carnival Row Season 2 premieres at the end of the week. Is this something to watch after the kids have gone to bed? What is the age rating for the season?
The time is almost here. The Carnival Row Season 2 premiere will drop on Amazon on Friday, Feb. 17. In fact, it will drop on Thursday night for those in North America thanks to time zones working in our favor.
So, now all eyes are going to be on watching it right away. The question is whether we can watch it with the kids around, or if this is going to be a show to watch when they go to bed. We need to look at the age rating for that.
Carnival Row Season 2 age rating
The official age rating in the U.S. is TV-MA. That is the equivalent of an R-rated movie, which means the series is aimed at those over 18. You can check out the first season to get a sense of what to expect and why it’s rated so highly.
Of course, you know your children best. If they could handle the first season, they may be able to handle the second. There is some graphic material in it when it comes to gore, though. It’s on the level of what we saw in the very first season, and a lot of the graphic material happens right away.
This is not a series for the faint-hearted. You’ll probably want to watch the episodes yourself and then you can decide if they’re suitable for your children or not. I know my children won’t sit through an episode of this series but I would have done as a kid.
At least the series is released weekly. You’ll only need to wait for them to go to bed to watch one episode instead of dealing with a whole weekend of getting them out of the room to binge-watch the series.
Carnival Row Season 2 will air Fridays on Prime Video.
