The Hunters Season 2 finale ended up being the series finale. Did it work as that, or were there too many questions left over?

We found out ahead of the premiere that Hunters Season 2 would be the last. Of course, we wanted to know if the season was written as the last or if there would be some burning questions at the end.

The second season focused on the hunt for Adolf Hitler. That certainly suggested that it could be the end, although that wouldn’t mean all the Nazis in the world would just disappear. There would still be some work to do. Would the series end with a cliffhanger of another hunt?

The Hunters Season 2 finale did work as a series finale

There is some good news for those who have put off watching it so far. The finale does work as a series finale, and it certainly looks like it was written that way.

Without giving away too many spoilers, the hunt for Hitler came to a satisfactory ending and we got to see where the group of hunters will go next. Of course, some hunters wanted out of the fight, but that doesn’t mean the fight will every come to an end.

Something that worked extremely well was the flashbacks to 1975. We got to find out why Ruth became a target, and Jonah got a little bit of closure when it came to his grandmother’s murder. Sister Harriet managed to find proof of claims that Jonah had made at the very end of the first season.

There are certainly storylines left open, but that’s always the way with finales. There were no major questions that needed answering. We’re just left to imagine what life will be like for the core group of Nazi hunters.
