A new week is here, and there’s a new Top 20 list of most sold Amazon books. A new James Patterson novel entered the list last week.

While the list of most read Amazon books last week saw little change, there were a few new additions to the list of most sold books. It’s not surprising that this list has more movement. It includes books sold via the Amazon site and not just read on Kindle or listened to via Audible. Amazon can’t track what you read in a physical book.

The Top 3 saw a little bit of change. Verity by Colleen Hoover gained two spots to get into second place. This pushed Hoover’s It Starts with Us and It Ends with Us down a spot each, with the latter dropping out of the Top 3.

3 new books on the list

The House of Wolves by James Patterson and Mike Lupica was the highest new addition on the list. It entered in fifth place. We do tend to see Patterson’s books initially enter high but drop off relatively quickly.

A Long Time Coming by Meghan Quinn was the next new addition, entering in 10th place. Again, Quinn’s books tend to enter well but drop off quite quickly, but she has a lot of books in a short space of time, which helps her.

Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume was the last new addition in 18th place. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman reentered the list in 20th place. This arguably isn’t that surprising as the book has been turned into the movie A Man Called Otto starring Tom Hanks.
