How Al Pacino was part of Hunters Season 2 on Prime Video

The Hunters Season 2 promo made it look like Jonah was seeing Al Pacino’s Meyer Offerman as a ghost. That wasn’t exactly how Pacino returned. How was the actor part of the series?

It certainly looked like Al Pacino’s Meyer Offerman was going to return as a ghost of sorts in Hunters Season 2. That would make sense, and it’s the way a lot of TV shows handled the return of a dead character. That wasn’t the case, though.

Instead, we picked up with the story in two timelines. The first was in 1979 with our group hunting down the Nazis in Europe and finding out that Adolf Hitler was still alive. The second was in 1975, and it’s where Meyer Offerman came in.

How Al Pacino was in Hunters Season 2

We found out at the end of Season 1 that Meyer Offerman was actually the Wolf. Jonah wasn’t the only one to learn the truth. Before him, Ruth had figured it out too, and this was actually why Ruth was killed at the start of the first season.

During the second season, we found out why The Wolf decided to come to New York in search of Ruth. Someone threatened to reveal his true identity, and Meyer headed out on a path that would see him try to throw everyone off his scent. That led him to Ruth as he suggested they build a team of hunters to take down the remaining Nazis.

We got to see him gather the main players of the team, including Joe and Roxy, but we also saw how Ruth started to become suspicious of him. As Meyer realized that Ruth was suspicious, he called a known Nazi and sent that man to Ruth’s house to kill her. At the end of the series, Sister Harriet shared the call logs with Jonah showing that it was Meyer who gave Ruth’s name to the Nazi.

In a way, the storyline should have been used in the first season. At least, some of it should have. I would have loved to see how the team came together in the first season to give their backstories a little better. At least we got something in the end.
