Is The Pale Blue Eye coming to DVD and Blu-ray?
If you’re looking for more Christian Bale movies, you’ll need to turn to The Pale Blue Eye on Netflix. Will the movie head to DVD and Blu-ray in the future?
With the way Netflix is going, you may not want to support the streamer. Yet, there are certain movies that stand out and you want to watch them. The Pale Blue Eye may be one of those movies.
Starring Christian Bale, the movie follows him as Augustus Landor, a veteran detective who is tasked with the investigation of a series of grisly murders. A young cadet helps him with the investigation, but there is more to this cadet than meets the eye. He will one day become the famous author of Edgar Allan Poe, but did his name always make people’s heads turn in wonder?
The Pale Blue Eye probably won’t come to DVD and Blu-ray
Right now, the only way to watch the period movie is via Netflix. This is likely the only way you’ll be able to watch it. It’s very rare for Netflix movies to head to DVD and Blu-ray.
This does depend on the contracts signed at the time. However, it doesn’t make sense for Netflix to release content off the streamer. By keeping content exclusive to the streamer, it keeps people watching that way. Netflix needs to make money in some way, right?
What about a Digital release? This is even more unlikely than a DVD release. At least with a DVD release, it means people have to watch with a physical disc and can’t as easily watch on the movie. With a Digital release, it makes it possible to watch anywhere you want as long as you have an internet connection. You just don’t need a Netflix subscription.
The Pale Blue Eye is now available to stream on Netflix.
